Victorian “Hardware” Sign with Gilded Bead

Victorian-style trade sign with classic “Hardware” lettering set within a deep frame and surrounded by a 1/2" gilded bead. The bold typography and long narrow proportions recall the straightforward elegance of late 19th-century American hardware store signage.

The lettering is hand-painted in traditional milk paint and lightly distressed to complement the character of early painted shop signs. The gilded bead catches the light and gives the sign a subtle glow when hung. Hanging hardware has been heat blackened for a period-correct appearance.

Made in the spirit of early American sign making using traditional materials and finishes.
