Prerequisites:

  • Basic computer literacy and some familiarity with Adobe Illustrator (specific help limited to Illustrator).

Workshop structure:

  • Week 1: Immerse yourself in the printing journey, from design to press operation.

  • Weeks 2-4: Combine direct instruction with guided exploration, allowing you to experiment and refine your skills.

  • Skill-focused learning: Leave with a collection of printed proofs showcasing your progress.

  • Independent printing opportunities: Return to the studio for a fee to print additional projects using your own plate.

Materials and costs:

  • All printing materials provided.

  • Participants responsible for plate costs (approx. $1/sq. inch) and shipping.

  • Plates not created in-house.

  • 4 Monday evenings, 6:30-8:00 PM, beginning April 8 (with additional time available if needed).

  • Class size: 4.

  • All levels welcome for printing, but basic Illustrator knowledge required.

  • Ages: 15 and older (with a highly motivated attitude).

  • Tuition: $200 (includes printing materials; participants responsible for plate fees and shipping).
