50 Little Birds
50 Little Birds is a collection of hand-carved Indiana songbirds by artist Geoffrey “G.B.” Davis. Each bird represents a species found in Indiana and is inspired by the artist’s personal encounters with birds in the field. Carved from softwoods and painted with traditional milk paints, the birds are small objects meant to be held, studied, and shared. In this collection, every bird has a story.
Other Wood Carvings
Hand-carved birds, fish, and animals made with traditional edge tools from solid wood and finished with milk paint and other historic materials. Each piece reflects a lifelong study of wildlife, folk carving traditions, and the quiet poetry of handmade objects.
Trade Signs
Hand-painted signs inspired by early American advertising and shop traditions. Painted with old-fashioned milk paints on solid wood and authentically aged to evoke the character and charm of historic trade signage.
Game Boards
Painted folk game boards, including Parcheesi and checkerboards, that celebrate the rich tradition of American decorative games. Designed to be both functional and visually striking objects for the home.
Letterpress and Paper
Fine press printing, broadsides, and typographic works produced on traditional presses using historic type and fine cotton papers. These pieces reflect a deep admiration for the Arts & Crafts printers and the enduring beauty of well-set type.
