In 2014 I spent six weeks paddling and birding across New York and New England on the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. I wrote about the experience often on my old site. In one piece I wrote about a tough day and seeing one of the birds that I set out to see -- a Blackburnian warbler. I recently reposted the story here. A curator at the Museum formerly known as the Adirondack Museum (They launched a re-brand this week and are now the Adirondack Experience) read the story and has asked for me to reproduce the bird for an exhibit. The exhibit, Feathered Friends: Birder’s Byway, will be opening in May. I suspect that my birds, and maybe my story, will be part of this.
